I spotted them through the trees and was able to get a few photos. Mom was VERY thin and presumably had given birth within the last week or two. This was likely her first calf, and I could tell she was nervous, so I didn't push it at all. I continued to see this pair for a few weeks... and it became one of my most memorable encounters.
